Android and iOS App

The new app is designed to work on the CFX-95DZ2 only and allows you to monitor and control your fridge whilst on the move.This app is exclusive to the CFX-95DZ2 fridge and freezer and is available to download on your Android or iOS phone or tablet.

Key features include:

  • Monitoring both compartment temperatures
  • Setting both compartment temperatures
  • Alarm function.

The following is a basic guide to using your CFX-95DZ2 app. For further information, please refer to your Instruction Manual, Chapter 7.8 Enabling Wi-Fi signal for optional app.

Q: I can't see the fridge on my device Wi-Fi list. Why not?

A: The fridge factory setting is with the Wi-Fi signal "off". To switch to "on", at the fridge press "SET" 5 times followed by "+" once.

Q: What is the WiFi network name for my fridge?

A: The factory default name is "CFX95DZ2_xxxxxxxx".

Q: What is the password to connect for the first time or after resetting to factory settings?

A: The factory default password is 8 zeros - "00000000".

Q: Can I personalise my name and password?

A: Yes you can. Go into the 3rd page in the CFX App and follow the instructions.

Q: I have forgotten my personalised password. What can I do?

A: Reset to factory settings by using reset function on fridge. Press "SET" 5 times, then press/hold the "+"   button for at least 5 seconds. "rES" will appear in displays and blink several times before returning to normal display.

Q: I have connected my device before, but now can't see the fridge on my device. Why not?

A: If power to the fridge has been interrupted or turned off, the Wi-Fi resets to "off". To switch to "on", at the fridge, press "SET" 5 times followed by "+" once. 

Q: How many devices can I connect to my fridge at one time?

A: One only (restricted to one to maintain single user control of fridge temperature/control settings). 

Q: What is ABS?

A. This stands for “Active Battery Security” and protects your battery from going flat whilst running the fridge. The protection level can be set to Low, Medium or High. For more detail see section 7.4 Using the battery monitor, in your User Manual.

 

 


 
Android devices

Q: My Android device is showing an "authentication problem" when trying to connect to fridge. What can I do?

A: This can occur if another device was previously connected to the fridge. Reset to factory settings by using reset function on fridge. Press "SET" 5 times, then press/hold the "+" button for at least 5 seconds. "rES" will appear in displays and blink several times before returning to normal display.

Q: My Android device WiFi is connected to the fridge but the CFX app is still not working. What can I do?

A: Try turning the CFX app off and back on by following your device instructions.

Q: Whilst in the CFX app I switched to using the internet or another feature on my device requiring phone data. When going back into CFX app it does not work. What can I do?

A: Your Android device automatically switches off the Wi-Fi network when using phone data. Switch back to Wi-Fi in phone settings.

 

iOS devices

Q: The CFX app will not work on my iOS device even after following all other FAQ suggestions. What can I do?

A: Turn off the "Mobile Data" in your phone settings. NOTE, with phone in this mode you will not be able to access internet or any other functions requiring mobile data.

Q: My iOS device is showing "wrong password" when trying to connect to fridge. What can I do?

A: This can occur if another device was previously connected to the fridge. Reset to factory settings by using reset function on fridge. Press "SET" 5 times, then press/hold the "+" button for at least 5 seconds. "rES" will appear in displays and blink several times before returning to normal display.

Q: My iOS device Wi-Fi is connected to fridge, but CFX app still not working. What can I do?

A: Try turning the CFX app off and back on. Double click “home button” whilst in CFX app and swipe to turn off.

1. Information display for CFX-95DZ2

Information same as fridge control panel and display. For example, the blue snowflake indicates when that compartment is cooling. In this example the large compartment is cooling.

2. How to tell compressor cycled off

If there are no blue snowflakes against either compartment, the compressor has cycled off.

3. Lid open

A lid open icon will appear next to the relevant compartment when the lid is open. In this example the large compartment lid is open.

An “Additional Information” box also appears. Press for further detail. 

Note: If lid is left open for 3 mins or more, the interior light (on fridge) starts to flash and the lid open icon also blinks on/off. 

4. Temperature Alarm

Set to one of the 2 optional limits and your device will sound or vibrate (depending on device type) if the alarm limit is exceeded. CLICK HERE FOR IMAGE

The High or Low alarm icon will blink to the left of the relevant compartment. CLICK HERE FOR IMAGE
Set to “OFF” if not required.

Press the aerial icon to shortcut to phone settings. CLICK HERE FOR IMAGE
Useful for turning mobile data on/off or choosing other WiFi networks. CLICK HERE FOR IMAGE 
Press “Back to CFX” from settings menu to return to CFX app. CLICK HERE FOR IMAGE
Note: Pressing the aerial icon on iOS devices does not stop the CFX app or disconnect Wi-Fi. This can be done via the phone settings.

6. Aerial icon - Android devices

Press the aerial icon to turn off the CFX app, disconnect fridge Wi-Fi and shortcut to phone settings. CLICK HERE FOR IMAGE
