At the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Dometic will let attendees see, first-hand, real-life simulations of its Ship-Wide Ventilation equipment and mobile-enabled STIIC controller.
Pompano Beach, Fla., – Nov. 2, 2015 – Dometic Marine, a division of Dometic Group, a global provider of leisure products for the marine, truck, caravan, motor home and automotive markets, today announced that at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this year, the company will showcase real-life simulations of Dometic Ship-Wide Ventilation products and the mobile-enabled Dometic Smart Touch Integrated Intelligence Control (STIIC). Attendees will be able to see the equipment work exactly as it would on a real-life vessel.
At Dometic’s Yachting Tent #729-730, show visitors can check out a demo of ventilation components for engine rooms, including a Dometic Mist Eliminator, Damper, Fan, and Controller. The simulation will contain a working 24” axial fan, and can simulate temperature and pressure control of fans. It will also demonstrate an A-60 rated damper that can be closed to simulate fire conditions.
“This demo is a great opportunity for boat builders, captains and technicians to see how Dometic’s Ship-Wide Ventilation equipment can be used to prevent the spread of a fire, optimize performance and efficiency and extend the life of engines,” said Nelson Frolund, Dometic Sales Engineer for Ship-Wide Ventilation.
At the Yachting Tent booth, show attendees can also see the Dometic STIIC controller in action. Attendees can try out a touch-screen tablet to see how the easy-to-use STIIC software can control at Dometic KRA Condensing Unit, an Eskimo Ice machine, the VARC48 Chiller and the XTC-ZTC double-pass reverse osmosis water purification system. Attendees will see how STIIC provides full control and visibility, and can be used to check a system’s status, change settings, turn it on, turn it off, or diagnose a problem.
In the coming months, STIIC will be extended to support Dometic smoke and fire dampers, axial fans and blowers, as well as Sanitation Tank Management products and Fresh Air Makeup Units (FAMU), which bring fresh, conditioned air into lower decks of a vessel.
