Dometic Cup Cooler on Display in Nordic Tug at the Seattle Boat Show

See the boating industry’s first refrigerated Cup Cooler, fully installed in a Nordic Tug at Booth #39 West; Dometic also announces other products on exhibit at show.

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. – Jan. 23, 2015Dometic Marine, a division of Dometic Group, a global provider of leisure products for the marine, truck, caravan, motor home and automotive markets, today announced that its Dometic Cup Cooler – the first-ever refrigerated cup holder for boats – will be on display aboard a Nordic Tug at the Seattle Boat Show from Jan. 23 to Jan. 31. Attendees can tour the NT 39 tug and see the Cup Cooler fully installed at the Nordic Tugs Inc. booth, #39 in the West Hall.

The thermoelectric Dometic Cup Cooler keeps drinks refrigerator-cold, and can replace most standard cup holders onboard pleasure boats or workboats. It allows boaters to keep a can, bottle or any appropriately sized beverage container chilled on even the hottest days, something that a typical cup holder or can koozie can’t begin to accomplish.

“With the Cup Cooler, your last sip is even colder than your first,” said Ben Haynes, technical sales manager at Dometic Marine. “A soda or beer may be cold enough when you pull it out of the ice chest, but from that moment on, it starts warming up. Now, for the first time in the history of boating, your beverage will actually get colder as you drink it. The Dometic Cup Cooler brings a new element of luxury and comfort onboard.”

“The Dometic Cup Cooler is a simple upgrade that makes a huge difference in the quality and experience of the boat pilot and passengers. We installed it in our NT 39 tug exhibit to show boat owners how streamlined and effective it is, in place of a conventional cup holder,” said George Armendariz, general manager at Nordic Tugs. “With the Cup Cooler, at work or at play, your drink stays cool all day.”

Other Dometic products will also be on exhibit at the Seattle Boat Show. The following companies will be attending with Dometic brand offerings:

  • AMC Cliffv’s Marine will show the VARC48 variable capacity chiller, the first chiller of its kind to adjust capacity output based on the current load demand. AMC will also show a range of Sea Xchange watermakers, engine ventilation equipment, air conditioning systems and refrigerators. Booth #1021 in the East Hall.
  • Sure Marine Service Inc. will be showing the Dometic Breathe Easy air purifier, refrigerators, portable freezers, pumps controls and other products. Booth #1101 in the East Hall.
  • Marine Sanitation will show the Dometic Sealand MasterFlush 8112, a macerator toilet; the MasterFlush 7100 Series Orbit Toilet with rotating base; and the SeaLand VacuFlush, featuring vacuum energy and low-flush operation. Marine Sanitation will also exhibit the SailVac, a compact vacuum-flush toilet for sailboats, as well as a range of parts and accessories. Booth #2104 in the Concourse area.
