Las Vegas, Nev. – April 30, 2015 – Dometic Group, leading supplier of hospitality comfort products for hotels, resorts and cruise ships, today announced that it will be exhibiting the MD362 In-Room proSafe at HD Expo, the hospitality design trade show set for May 13-15 in Las Vegas. The MD362 proSafe is ideal for keeping guest valuables locked and secure in a guestroom. It offers a sleek, contemporary design to match any guestroom interior, state-of-the-art electronics for optimum security, anti-tampering management, and a secure, straightforward emergency-opening feature configured with restricted access to hotel management.
Show participants can visit booth #2952 at HD Expo to view the MD362 proSafe, one of Dometic’s most successful safe models worldwide. Large enough to accommodate a 15-inch laptop, the MD362 has elegant rounded corners, smooth edges, carpeted interior and custom color choices for the cabinet and front panel. Premium proSafes come with the industry’s largest TFT display; the display is available with illuminated keyboard in six different languages.
Larger models in the ProSafe range can accommodate 17-inch laptops and devices. Standard features on all proSafes include a left- or right-hand hinge door opening and encrypted Dometic web access Safe Management (SAM) software. SAM allows the hotel’s management to run Remote Emergency Openings, generate detailed audit reports, anti-tampering and many other reports. The range’s optional features include internal sockets, interior LED light or mains 110/120V operations.
“When booking a hotel or resort, guests want to be absolutely sure their valuables, such passports or electronic devices, are safe and secure in their rooms. Dometic’s Premium proSafe range offers the highest level of in-room security and anti-tamper functionality, providing guests with the comfort, convenience and peace of mind they need to enjoy their stay,” said Fatiha Babou, Business Leader Lodging Division Americas. “From a design perspective, the range is also one of the most attractive available on the market today, with sleek lines and a wide range of colors to match any décor, a hotel’s logo or corporate look and feel.”
With a laser-cut frame and door, the Premium proSafe range is highly secure, with a locking mechanism made of two 18 mm solid steel bolts. It has extensive functionality to enhance guest comfort while strengthening Hotel’s Risk and Safety strategy.
Emergency Open. When guests arrive in a hotel, they simply use the safe with their own 4-digit guest code. If, however, the guest forgets the code, there are various secure ways to open the unit. An authorized hotel staff member can use the master key, the emergency opening mastercode, or, use the Remote Emergency Opening System (REOS) through SAM, Dometic’s encrypted safe management system.
Anti-Tamper System. All models come with sensors that register any attempt to tamper with the unit, day or night, while blocking the unit for any further use.
Audit Function. All models use Dometic SAM software to automatically store the last 1,000 operations carried out on the safe.
Battery level check. All standard models operate on batteries. Staff members can easily check battery levels at any time; the unit will display a message when the battery level is low, preventing the unit from locking again until batteries have been changed.
