When I raise my SeaStar Jackplate all the way up, after 5 minutes, the engine goes back to its lowest position. Is the jackplate losing some hydraulic fluid? Is there air in the system? Is there a leak?

There is a possible internal leak in the jackplate's hydraulic actuator.  This could potentially be caused by the debris on the check valves in the system.  Try raising the jackplate up and down 15-20 times. The internal hydraulic flow can sometimes clear the debris from the valve and make the leak disappear. If the problem does not go away, please call Tech Support at 604-248-3858.
