One of the most popular roof air conditioners in Europe has been further improved. The new Blizzard 1600PLUS offers the same performance as the proven predecessor B 1600 but is equipped with a remote control and interior lighting. In order to promote the new model Dometic has launched a sales campaign for the whole range of air conditioners which will be promoted on trade fairs throughout Europe!
Making use of the efficient compression principle B 1600PLUS is suited for vehicles up to a length of six metres and offers a verifiable cooling capacity of 1.5 kW and a heating element of 0.8 KW. Adjusting the air distribution is child’s play due to the new remote control. Equipped with a patented air distribution system the air flow can be directed either forward, to the rear or in both directions at the same time to cool all areas of the vehicle as required.
Additional advantage for comfortable people: Turning of the air conditioning in the evening, changing the speed of the two step fan or activating the heating element in the morning can be down while lying in bed.
- Less humidity, more hygiene
The cooling unit can be operated with 230 V from the socket or an appropriate Dometic generator. It works absolutely reliably with a minimum of noise and vibration. The air humidity in the vehicle is lowered and dust particles filtered from the air, so that one can relax when going on a vacation with best hygiene and air quality.
Integrated illumination guarantees a pleasant atmosphere in the evenings. Owing to the compact design of the air distribution system very little place is occupied inside the vehicle and the weight of the air conditioning system is low.

Roof air conditioners by Dometic are characterised by the best energy efficiency rate (EER) of all comparable air conditioning systems in the market, as the roof installation makes perfect use of the natural air circulation. Cool air produced by the air conditioner sinks down by itself; at the same time warmer air ascends and can be easily exhausted by the air conditioner – without technical aids and without additional energy expenditure.
Despite the high performance the dimensions are compact and the consumption low: Thus the B 1600PLUS only needs a cut-out of 400 x 400 mm, which means it can be inserted into a normal roof hatch. It is suitable for roof thicknesses from 30 to 80 mm and functions reliably even on a slope of up to 10 degrees. If necessary the filter can be replaced with ease. Top comfort, low price: With this combination the B1600PLUS is bound to become even more popular than its predecessor.
