The RO-water will in itself be pure enough for many applications. The Dometic RO-units will be a low cost alternative to specialized laboratory systems. If necessary, a sterile filter may be added at the point of use when the RO-water is distributed in a large system.
Disinfectors
A disinfector is a ”high-temperature” washing machine for cleaning of laboratory equipment. The high temperature may cause very difficult scaling. By supplying RO-water to the disinfector, scaling problems are eliminated, which reduces need for tedious post-cleaning.
Pre-treatment for ultra pure water
In some cases, extremely pure water (with even less amount of salt than the RO-water) is necessary in some cases. In that case, the RO-system may feed the water to an ion-exchanger or a deionizer. The RO-water will facilitate the later stages of purification and also increase service life of this equipment.
