New from Dometic for 2007 is a network gateway unit for Cruisair tempered-water air conditioning systems that provide a high-speed digital interface with the boat’s monitoring and control network.
The gateway unit, with optional graphical touch-screen color display, provides a Modbus/TCP Ethernet interface for two-way data transmission between the HVAC equipment and the central monitoring system. The unit, which can be mounted inside the chiller control panel or remotely mounted, transmits data into the network via an RS232 serial data connection. A built-in Web server allows remote access when an Internet connection is available.
The new gateway unit is part of an ongoing commitment to be the technology leader in marine air conditioning systems. This innovative package makes it easy for megayacht builders to interface Cruisair HVAC systems with their integrated monitoring and alarm systems.
