The GrapevinePro software determines which refreshment centers were opened utilizing an advanced communication system that operates on the property's telephone cabling system. Each refreshment center unit is equipped with a uniquely identified DM000 communication device that connects to the existing RJ11 phone outlet in the room.
Each time a guest opens a refreshment center door, a message is sent via modem to the GrapevinePro computer. The DM000 communication device will always be polite in its attempt to communicate with the computer. If the phone line is occupied it will wait until the line is free before making the call.
