PORTLAND, Ore. – Aug. 11, 2008 – Freightliner Trucks today announced the availability of Dometic® under bunk refrigerators as a new option for the Cascadia™.
The Dometic under bunk refrigerator includes a convenient slide-out drawer for easy driver access and can serve as a refrigerator or freezer (based on thermostat setting). The under bunk design also saves precious shelf space for additional storage options.
Designed with rugged steel exteriors with durable protective coating and high-impact polystyrene, the refrigerator is easy to clean and maintain. The dependable DC-powered Danfoss 12/24 volt compressor provides consistent and reliable performance.
Additional features of the Dometic refrigerator include a large condenser system that protects against failures from compressor overheating; and automatic low-voltage and high-pressure cutouts for extra protection.

The refrigerators are now available to order in all Cascadia sleeper cabs.
