Dometic CFX3 Won European Innovation Award 2020

Dometic's newly launched CFX3 powered cooler/freezer received the caravan industry experts' European Innovation Award in the category of camping equipment.

On 12 January 2020, Germany’s leading leisure-vehicle specialized publisher, DoldeMedien Verlag, together with an international team of editors from leading magazines,  honored the winners of the European Innovation Award 2020 at the CMT fair in Stuttgart, Germany.

The European Innovation Awards were selected from more than 200 different proposals in 15 categories. Dometic won a European Innovation Award for the company‘s latest powered cooler/freezer, the CFX3-series, in the category “camping equipment.“

DoldeMedien asks the jurors to evaluate the products individually in a voting procedure. In this vote Dometic received 4 out of a total of 5 points in the overall rating and thus won first place ahead of the other products.

"With the new CFX3 series, Dometic is setting new standards for compressor coolers. At the heart of the CFX3 boxes is a speed-controlled inverter compressor. It runs particularly quietly, is energy efficient and achieves cooling capacities down to -22°C. The cooling temperature can be set via a TFT display or conveniently via a smartphone app, because they are WLAN and Bluetooth compatible. But also stable - the box has a surrounding edge protection frame, fully insulated lids, spring-loaded aluminium handles,“ the jury stated.

Peter Kruk, President of EMEA at Dometic, says: “The Innovation Award promotes innovations in the RV industry. We are proud of our team achievement, especially that the prize is awarded by the industry’s experts. With the new inverter compressor technology, our CFX3 series is paving the way in the industry.”

The Dometic CFX3 sets new benchmarks in design and cooling performance. Using the company‘s most advanced cooling technology, the Dometic CFX3 runs quietly and freezes down to -22 °C while using less power on average than a 60W light bulb. By connecting it to the 12V/24V DC outlet in a vehicle, camper’s can roam free without worry while the CFX3 actively monitors battery power and turns itself off when low voltage is detected.
