Fan-Tastic Vent is now Dometic
In 1984, the Burton, Michigan creators of Fan-Tastic Vent recognized the need for better ventilation in RVs and solved the problem with their 12-volt high-efficiency ceiling fan. As sales grew, in 1995 the company moved to a larger facility in Capac, Michigan, which unfortunately became a total loss after a fire in 1997. But the company rebounded very quickly and resumed production in just 11 days. In 2010, Fan-Tastic Vent was acquired by Atwood Mobile Products, and in 2014 Atwood was acquired by Dometic.
Although the product line expanded and had many improvements and convenience features added over the years, the basic purpose remains unchanged. Fan-Tastic Vent is a high-performance product that operates quietly and economically to bring cool, clean, fresh air inside an RV. It exchanges nearly 1,000 cu ft/28,317 l of air every minute, giving users a comfortable environment day and night.
