WEATHERSHIELD REST EXPLAINED
Engineered To Last
Developed in Europe, our new 100% Polypropylene fabric offers awning users outstanding comfort and weather protection. Weathershield™ Rest is an industry first; its naturally hydrophobic properties enable easy cleaning for bird lime, mildew and dirt – perfect for year-round seasonal pitch use.
Lighter than traditional full awning material, it’s fully waterproof and stays malleable in all temperatures for easy handling; ideal for pitching, packing up and tensioning as and when you like.
Dope-Dyed Polypropylene
Weathershield™ Rest material is dope-dyed, a process that infuses color directly into the polymer solution before it’s transformed into fibres. Resulting in exceptional UV fade resistance and unrivaled longevity, essential for long-term seasonal stays.
Additionally, the dope-dyeing process uses up to 80% less water and energy during production. Weathershield™ Rest material is also fully recyclable, making it a more sustainable choice that supports eco-friendly travel.
DO I NEED WEATHERSHIELD REST?
Seasonal pitch users experience a variety of elements and a range of temperatures during their months on site.
Weathershield™ Rest material is the solution to these challenges. Developed in Europe for European conditions, it is designed to perform in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 70°C and has been tested to withstand 200 liters of water per square meter per hour. The material also features a natural stretch, making pitching and tensioning easier and more reliable. Compared to equivalent PVC materials, Weathershield™ Rest is lighter in weight while delivering the same level of performance.
Weathershield™ Rest is available for our Stuga Rest series of poled caravan awnings, available in sizes 9 - 19, fitting caravans from – 840 cm to 1115 cm.
