August 2021 is the production start of the new Fiat Ducato Series 8. Dometic welcomes the arrival of the latest campervan series with new custom-fit versions of popular window covering system, which debuts at the Caravan Salon 2021 show. The new double-pleated blinds – Dometic FP210 for the windscreen and Dometic SP310 for the side windows – provide excellent privacy, sun protection and thermal insulation at the campsite.
Quick and easy to install, the retrofit products match the look and convenience of a factory-fitted system.
Just like the previous models designed for Fiat Ducato and its sister models Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Jumper, the new front and side panels are made from a robust, double-pleated honey-comb material. The well-engineered material not only keeps sunrays and curious eyes out, it also ensures excellent thermal insulation against heat or cold.
The two handling bars of the new FP210 windscreen darkening blind can be adjusted in both directions – top-down or bottom-down, and to any position desired. This gives camping friends plenty of options to create their preferred combination of privacy and sun protection.
The facelift models take account of the modified interior design of the new Fiat Ducato Series 8. The optimized additional Dometic A-pillar cover comes with a new guide rail for attaching the optional electronic central rear-view mirror. Dometic’s engineers created an elegant, neatly integrated solution that fits the new campervan model like a custom-made suit. This also means that the retrofit can be done quickly and with little effort. There’s no need to disassemble the A-pillar covers or other components. The result is aesthetically pleasing. The SP310 side panels, for instance, appear like an original product integrated into the door.
As the new SP310 side window blind only fits the new Fiat Ducato Series 8, Dometic will continue to offer the SP300 model for Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Jumper and older models of Fiat Ducato campervans. The new FP210 fits all Fiat Ducato campers, old and new, as well as the sister models of Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Jumper. For vehicles without rear-view mirror, the FP300 front panel remains available to Dometic’s aftermarket and OEM clients.
