Dometic serves the workboat market with standard and custom solutions built to withstand the harshest marine conditions while providing a comfortable and healthy workplace for the crew.
For over half a century Dometic has designed and manufactured HVAC, refrigeration and sanitation systems for a wide variety of pleasure craft – from 40-foot boats to mega yachts.
Dometic specializes in self-contained, split, and chilled water climate control systems. We also provide controls and accessories for complete systems.
Custom components and systems to maintain optimal air pressure in the engine room, as well as protect machinery from saltwater spray, smoke and fire.
Smart cooling solutions, from built-in, compact refrigerators to specialized systems for refrigerator/freezer boxes and wrapped iceboxes.
Dometic’s industry-leading VacuFlush® and MasterFlush® toilet systems are ideal for most applications. Flush controls, vacuum power generators and holding tanks complete the system.
Dometic SeaXchange and Spot Zero reverse-osmosis systems provide a virtually unlimited supply of purified water from a dockside source or the sea.
Dometic offers a wide range of off-the-shelf HVAC products that meet the needs of most vessels. However, if you require a customized solution, our technical sales engineers will gather your specifications and brief our engineering team to design a system that satisfies your demands.
Most Dometic modular chillers now use titanium condensers, greatly increasing both the durability and the service life of the product. Titanium is unaffected by the punishing combination of saltwater, invasive marine life and the harsh acids used for routine cleaning of the condenser coil.
Ideal for vessels 60 ft. (18 m) and over, chillers installed in the engine room circulate fresh water to air handlers installed in living and working areas. Titanium condenser coils resist erosion and corrosion and increase product lifespan.
Ideal for vessels up to 70 ft. (21 m), split-gas (or remote) air conditioning systems feature condensing and evaporating units on separate chassis installed in different locations.
Microprocessor-based and easy-to-use controls for precise monitoring and adjustment of temperature and humidity levels on board. Ship-wide networking is also available. Remote access is possible via smart phone, tablet or computer thanks to Dometic STIIC software.
Dometic offers customized, ship-wide ventilation systems to maintain optimal air pressures in the vessel’s engine room, as well as protect sensitive machinery from mist, fire and saltwater spray.
Components include fans, mist eliminators, dampers and controls made from durable, commercial-grade materials. Multi-functional assemblies are available.
Dometic offers a wide range of fans to provide cooling or combustion air to machinery spaces. 3-phase axial AC fans are available in diameters up to /1,067 mm 42. DC fans are completely sealed from solid or liquid agents.
Mist eliminators are designed to stop mist and seawater spray from entering the machinery space. Each mist eliminator is custom designed for maximum airflow and minimum restriction. Drainage options include face draining, horizontal draining and bottom draining.
Activated either electrically or manually, Dometic smoke and fire dampers close off the machinery space in the event of fire. Available with stainless steel A-60 rated or marine-grade, powder-coated aluminum frame and blades.
Pressure- and temperature-monitoring controls are available for 3-phase fans and blowers, as well as 24 V DC fans. Fire system shutdown is standard.
Dometic offers a wide range of built-in refrigerators that provide attractive, space-saving cooling for galleys, cockpits, flybridges and unused spaces.
From icemakers to refrigerated iceboxes, Dometic provides what you need to keep your catch, bait, or drinks cold and fresh all day. We also offer specialized refrigeration solutions for a wide range of vessels, especially sport fishing yachts and center console boats.
Dometic’s industry-leading VacuFlush® and MasterFlush® toilet technologies are ideal for most applications and vessels. And if you are looking for a high-flow toilet system for offshore vessels, Dometic RushFlush® technology features dual water jets to macerate waste.
Our toilets come with residential-size seat and bowl, wall-mounted flush switches, holding tanks and vacuum generators complete the system.
VacuFlush® technology uses stored vacuum energy to clear the bowl instantly and propel waste to the holding tank, resulting in odor- and clog-free performance.
VacuFlush® toilets use very little water per flush (less than half a liter). This not only extends the fresh water supply, but also increases time between holding tank pump-outs — a significant advantage for vessels operating in waters with overboard discharge restrictions.
Dometic’s industry-leading MasterFlush® toilet system employs a high-efficiency 18-blade macerator turbine to pulverize waste for no-clog performance. The holding tank can be installed up to 30 m/ 98 ft away.
Superior MasterFlush® technology means 64% less power consumption and 33% lower amps per flush than competing models.
For offshore vessels that accommodate high-flow toilet systems, RushFlush® toilet technology delivers unmatched power, resource efficiency and easy installation compared to similar toilet systems.
RushFlush® begins with two hyper-pressurized water lines – one through the upper rim for a bowl clearing rinse and the other at the bottom of the bowl to macerate effluent and drive it to the discharge plumbing.
Dometic offers a complete range of holding tanks, vacuum generators, hoses, waste discharge pump and vent filter to complete your sanitation system.
When combined, Dometic SeaXchange and Spot Zero reverse-osmosis systems provide a virtually unlimited supply of purified water from the sea or a dockside source.
Freshwater systems are also ideal for time-saving, spot-free wash-downs that extend the vessel’s paint life.
Dometic SeaXchange seawater systems provide from 2,271 to 75,708 liters per day/ 600 to 20,000 gallons per day of freshwater. Fully automatic, remote control models are available.
