Dometic Provides Range of Steering Solution to Entire Ryds Fleet

Swedish leisure boat manufacturer, Ryds, pride themselves in being one of the most modern companies within the boating industry, and therefore needed systems that apply the latest in hydraulic technology to deliver an exceptional on-water steering experience. 

In conjunction with Swedish distributor, Comstedt, Dometic were able to meet this requirement, providing a variety of steering cylinders and helm control systems that were ideally suited to the hull designs and outboard / sterndrive configurations of the Ryds range. 

Dometic’s SeaStar and BayStar Steering Cylinders were a great match for Ryds’ leisure boat range, both with compact design, incredible durability, and maximum efficiency, providing a powerful steering experience for users. 

To compliment these steering cylinder systems, Ryds have used the Dometic BayStar Helm Front Mount, and the Dometic SeaStar Helm Tilt Classic, offering boaters adjustable wheel positioning for improved personal comfort whilst maintaining both safety and reliability. 

In addition, the Dometic SeaStar Power Assist has been adopted, which applies the latest hydraulic pump technology to give Ryds’ boats maximum turning ability in the most demanding situations, finally delivering car-like steering availability for boats.
