The Dometic SPX 1200C compressor unit is the core component of our new generation, very quit running split truck air conditioner. Featuring advanced inverter compressor technology, it provides amazing cooling power – genuine 1200 W (rated to ISO 5151) and up to 12 hours of uninterrupted cooling even by reaching 52°C outside temperature! Thanks to a smart low-voltage protection system, it makes economical use of precious battery power. Depending on the truck model, you can combine the compressor unit with an elegant evaporator fitted to the inside of the cabin (Dometic SPX 1200I) or with the Dometic SPX 1200T and its super-flat 57 mm roof top evaporator, giving you the option to stay below the 4 m cab height regulation.

The Dometic SPX 1200C compressor unit is the core component of our new generation split truck air conditioner. Featuring advanced inverter compressor technology, it provides amazing cooling power – genuine 1200 W (rated to ISO 5151) and twelve hours of uninterrupted cooling! Thanks to a smart low-voltage protection system, it makes economical use of precious battery power. Depending on the truck model you have, you can combine the compressor unit with a roof top evaporator (Dometic SPX 1200T) or an evaporator fitted to the inside of the cabin (Dometic SPX1200I).

Combining high performance with easy installation and usage, the CoolAir rooftop air conditioners for trucks offer the perfect solution for in-cabin truck temperature control. They feature excellent cooling capabilities, energy efficiency and quiet operation, and easy installation. Available as a 1000W and 2000W version.

Modular System Concept

You can use the SPX 1200 configuration with the superflat roof evaporator unit, which fits neatly under the spoiler.

You can opt for the SPX 1200I version and install the evaporator on the inside of the cabin’s rear wall, so there’s no need for a roof-mounted structure.

Our design team accepts the complex challenge of creating the most compact rooftop air conditioner modern truck industry has ever seen. Hand in hand with the Dometic engineering team SPX family results in a flexible solution with a 1200 W compressor mounted to the rear wall of the cabins outside and two solution of an evaporator unit. One to install in the cabine and one super slim roof top version with ultra slim 57 mm height. Due to our well known compressor technology, we have the power to cool down the truck cabine up to 12h without starting the engine. Goes without saying: The whole solution of RTX and SPX is tested in tough condition during Dakar race for instance.

The Eco Africa Race And Dakar Rally Are Two Of The Most Severe Challenges On The Rally Calendar.

The Eco Africa Race

Described as the one and only true race to Dakar, the Africa EcoRace returned for its 10th edition during the first two weeks of 2018. The 6,500 km route started in Monaco and crossed over to Africa with 5 stages in Morocco, 6 stages in Mauritania and the finishing stage taking place at the infamous ‘Lac Rose’ in Senegal. The African rally involves driving through the Sahara Desert, with temperatures above 30 degrees during the day, falling to below zero at night. It is 12 stages of relentless sandy tracks and dunes.

The Rally Dakar

Covering 9,000 km over two weeks, the famous Dakar Rally is a brutal, challenging adventure attempted in trucks, cars and motorcycles across monstrous sand dunes, salt flats and mountain ranges in temperatures exceeding 55 degrees. Both are marathon tests that place the competitors and their equipment under immense stress, with only the most resilient and well-prepared teams and machines making it to the finish lines intact.
