PROBLEM: Tank does not fill with rated capacity of fuel.
The rated fuel capacity listed on the tank is the maximum amount of fuel that can be put into the tank by volume. However, due to the fuel fill level components and the requirements of the way the other new vent components have to work with the fuel per EPA and ABYC, the tank will never fill to that level. It will, on average, be less than 93% of the value listed on the tank. The tank is labeled per ABYC standards. The ≤ symbol on the tank denotes that the fill will be less than or equal to the rated capacity. This may or may not agree with the rated capacity that the boat builder publishes for the boat.
