This temperature sensor cable needs to be used when your SUNCONTROL2 solar charge controller is connected to a lithium battery. Its job is to prevent charging at low temperatures. If the temperature of the battery reaches a value of 0°C, the regulator will stop charging. When used with AGM or other lead-acid batteries, the temperature sensor ensures that they are charged efficiently and safely.
