What does MPPT mean?
MPPT is the algorithm that allows you to always exploit the “Maximum Power Point Track” supplied by the panel. A charge regulator with MPPT technology (e.g. the Dometic NDS SUNCONTROL2 charge controllers) can achieve up to 25% more efficiency than a conventional controller with PWM technology. An MPPT regulator is ideal where space is limited because in less space you get more energy!
