The Dometic Group AB is pleased with your interest and your visit to this website. Dometic Group AB and each of its subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as “Dometic”, “we” or “us”) is an international group of companies with 25 manufacturing and assembly sites in 11 countries and we sell our products in approximately 100 countries.

We process personal data in accordance with the relevant data protection legislation of your country. This Privacy Notice will explain how Dometic uses the personal data we collect from you when you visit our websites. The use of our websites is generally possible without providing personal data. If personal data is collected directly on our websites (e.g., name, email address or information collected through cookies or other online identifiers) this always occurs on a voluntary basis as far as possible. This data will not be forwarded to third parties without your express consent. This Privacy Notice also explains the steps we have taken to secure your personal data. Finally, this Privacy Notice informs you about your rights according to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

5 Data exchange within the Dometic Group:

Sometimes it can be necessary to transmit your personal data to other legal entities of Dometic to deliver products and services to you, to ensure a consistent level of service across our products and services, and to enhance our products, services, and your customer experience. When you submit a form requesting information or signing up for a newsletter, the information you submit will end up in a few limited email inboxes attended by resources allocated to serve your specific inquiries.

As a global company, Dometic has internal supply chains and dependencies between its individual legal entities. Based on the GDPR, Dometic is a “group of undertakings” which allows us to handle the processing of your personal data in that way, based on our legitimate interests. Additionally, insofar data transmission to one or more of our other legal entities is necessary for the performance of a contract or in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract with you, this can be used as a legal basis, too.

Dometic Group companies incorporated outside the European Union (non-EU group companies) have taken steps to ensure that personal data shared by them with other group companies will be processed according to standards that are at least as protective of your personal data as the local laws that apply to those non- EU group companies.

6 Forwarding of personal data to third parties

As a matter of principle, we do not pass on any personal data to third parties. If you use personalized services of our offer, we also provide our services together with external partners. In this context, it may be necessary to collect personalized data and pass it on to external service providers/third parties for the purpose of implementing and processing our services.  However, this data is only stored or passed on to the extent necessary for order processing. If we use external service providers, we ensure that we have entered into a Data Protection Agreement. Our service providers are subject to the same strict data protection regulations and are additionally integrated into our data protection concept.

All data transmission, whether internal or external, is always restricted to the specific purpose for which we process your personal data and complies with the specific legal requirements for transferring personal data.

    You have the right to obtain confirmation from us whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed. If that is the case, you have the right to ask us for a copy of that personal data for free. For any further copies we may charge you a reasonable fee for this service.

  • The right to rectification
    You have the right to request that Dometic correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request our company to complete information you believe is incomplete.

  • The right to erasure
    You have the right to request that Dometic erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

  • The right to restrict processing
    You have the right to request that Dometic restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

  • The right to object to processing
    You have the right to object to our company’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

  • The right to data portability
    You have the right to request that Dometic transfer the personal data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

 

If you do not agree with the processing of your personal data by Dometic, you can lodge a complaint with the competent Supervisory authority of your location.

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss, unlawful access and inappropriate processing. The number of people with access to your personal data is limited. Only individuals associated with Dometic that need to process your personal data in accordance with the purposes above are permitted to have access to your personal data; and they are instructed and committed by Dometic to handle your personal data confidential and in compliance with applicable data protection requirements.
