The inner pipe of the exhaust system guides the exhaust gases from the combo heater to the outside chimney. For safety’s sake, it is placed inside the pipe that draws fresh air in for the combustion process. This pipe-in-pipe solution ensures that no exhaust gases can enter the vehicle interior in the event of damage or leaks.
