De buitenleiding van het uitlaatsysteem voert verse lucht van buitenaf naar de comboverwarmer om zuurstof te leveren voor het verbrandingsproces. Hij gaat rechtstreeks vanuit de uitlaatzijde van de kachel naar de schoorsteen. Dat betekent dat hij volledig onafhankelijk is van het luchtsysteem in het voertuig.
